Abstract

In 50 subjects with arteriosclerotic ischaemia of the lower extremities and 41 subjects with diabetes mellitus ozone was applied intra-arterially. Before and after the treatment serum lipids concentration was examined. In the group with arteriosclerotic ischemia significant decrease in cholesterol level and both his fractions was seen. Whereas in the group with diabetes the cholesterol LDL was significantly reduced. In both groups total lipids level serum was decreased. It suggests that ++ozone therapy set back the arteriosclerosis progress, normalized some parameters of lipid metabolism and improved HDL to LDL cholesterol fractions relationship.

Title

[Ultrasonic cavitation and ozonization in treatment of patients with pyo-necrotic complications of diabetic foot syndrome]

Abstract

The main group consisted of 130 patients with pyo-necrotic complications of diabetic foot syndrome, in who after operations within the foot limits, there were ultrasonic cavitation and ozonization of the wound surface. The control group consisted of 90 patients who underwent operative treatment as well as a standard local treatment using the preparations with reference to the phase of the wound process. The use of low-frequency ultrasound allows in short-terms ablation of necrotized tissues within the limits of healthy tissues, decrease of microbial contamination of the wounds and preparing to closing. Ozonization of the wounds facilitates growth of the granulating tissues and prolongs the effect of decontamination of the wound surface. The application of physical methods in treatment of patients with pyo-necrotic complications of diabetic foot syndrome decreases the number of disabling operations.

Title

[The action of blood ozonization on the course of progressive pulmonary tuberculosis combined with diabetes mellitus]

Abstract

A course intravenous injection of dissolved ozone to patients with rapidly progressing lung tuberculosis associated with diabetes mellitus in resistance to antituberculous drugs for 3-4 weeks eliminates this resistance and reduces bacterial discharge including polyresistant strains (MDR-tuberculosis). The percentage of closed caverns significantly increased. Mechanisms of etiopathogenic impact of parenteral dissolved ozone are discussed.
