Abstract

A new treatment method of climacteric syndrome, complicated by dyscirculatory encephalopathy, with the help of ozonotherapy in combination with phytoestrogens, has been introduced and validated. Combination of phytoestrogens and non-medicamental method (also known as ozonotherapy) simultaneously solves efficiency and safety problems of therapy. The effect of hereby offered treatment method is shown with 92 patients, suffering from complicated climacteric syndrome. The modified menopausal index and six international neuropsychological tests were used as the evaluation criteria of therapy efficiency in comparison groups. The higher efficiency of treatment was proven against each chosen criterion in the basic group of patients, where the effect of phytoestrogens was enhanced by ozonotherapy, which influenced vascular factor and dopaminergic structures in unidirectional manner.

Abstract

Macro- and microscopic aspects in the morphology of placenta after ozone therapy were studied in pregnant women with placental insufficiency and the results were compared with the control group. In the main group, the placentas were smaller and weighed less. After ozone therapy enlargement of terminal villi with true syncytiocapillary membranes was noted. A stimulating effect of ozone therapy on the growth and differentiation of terminal villi was established.

Abstract

We conducted a comparative analysis of ozone therapy effectiveness in treatment of community-acquired pneumonia in 76 pregnant patients, basing on fetal echocardiogram and Doppler ultrasound of uterine-fetalplacental condition. All pregnant women underwent standard anti-pneumonia treatment, 40 of them received ozone therapy. The study showed, that ozone therapy as a part of a general therapy for community-acquired pneumonia has an antihypoxic effect: it advances oxygen-transfer into the tissues with insufficient blood supply, increases tissue respiration and normalizes blood flow. As a result, uterine-fetal-placental blood flow improved, values of blood flow velocity showed no reliable, statistically significant difference from control group. Values of the fetal echocardiogram also proved a better fetal condition after the ozone treatment.
